Get active in Seaford this summer
Situated on the sunny south coast, Seaford is a great place to put all your training to the test. With options for all abilities there is no excuse to not get out there and get involved.
Every Saturday is the Seaford Beach Parkrun, 5km of you against the clock. Running from 9am-10am, it is open to anyone to run for the own enjoyment at their own pace. And the best thing about it, it’s FREE, all you have to is register before your first run online (Hyperlink: https://www.parkrun.org.uk/register/ ). As a special event on July 27th the run will be organised by local running group RunPals. If you’re unable to run but still want to be a be involved, why not volunteer to help out and meet some people along the way.
On Saturday 10th August Seaford hosts the South Coast Triathlon at Martello Fields. Whether it’s your first or fiftieth triathlon you can take part with Olympic, Sprint, Super sprint, and mini fun relay options all available. Interested, but don’t want to go it alone? You can take part as part of a one or two person relay team, and share the challenge. Age limits do apply for different triathlon options, and signing up will cost between £65-£70. Does a triathlon sound too much? Well on Sunday 11th August Seaford also hosts the South Coast Run, with a half marathon, 10km and 5km fun run all taking place on the same day. With all runs taking the same course there will be crowds to cheer you on not matter how far or how fast you are running. Starting at 9am, it will cost between £15-£25 to sign up, with the fun run open to all ages.
