Eastbourne and Lewes have opportunities for people to stay active whatever their age, making the most of the beautiful coast and surrounding countryside, keeping up favourite sports and other activities, or trying something new.  Use our Directory to search for your preferred activities.

Age Concern Eastbourne offers people aged 55 and over the chance to try new activities. They have dance classes including Belly Dancing, Line Dancing, Dancercise and Tap Dancing as well as Exercise and Wellbeing sessions such as Exercise and Movement to Music and Table Tennis. All activities are currently based at the William and Patricia Venton Centre in Junction Road just behind Eastbourne Railway Station. Wave Leisure provides similar services for older people in three locations across Lewes district. These activities include regular walking groups and walking football sessions, three times a week and in all locations. Other activities range from table tennis to yoga to chair based exercise. with activities designed for those aged 65 and up, and all levels of ability welcome, there is no reason to not check it out.

The Eastbourne Seniors Forum website includes up to date details of activities aimed at people aged 55 and over covering everything from Archery and Athletics to Tai Chi and Yoga. There is also a Lewes Senior Forum, which is a free to join independent, voluntary community group for residents over 50
