A Young Carers Service is provided by Care for the Carers to young people aged 8 to 18 who are caring for a parent or other family member. The service offers 1:1 support to help young carers manage their caring responsibilities alongside their education and social lives. YMCA DownsLink Group run a drop-in service for disadvantaged or disengaged young people at Charlie’s Youth Access Centre at 56 Seaside, Eastbourne BN22 7QL providing everything from 1:1 support and advice to cooking facilities and internet access. You can drop in during opening hours on Mondays from 11am to 2pm, Wednesdays from 3-6pm, Thursdays from 2-5pm and Sundays 1-4pm. Youth Drop In Newhaven, is a service that provides free advice, information and support to all young people aged 11 to 18 years provided by qualified and experienced youth workers.
